How to send an iMessage to Android Mobile

iMessage to Android Mobile

We help you leave the fenced garden of iOS to send an iMessage to android mobile form your iPhone. Despite the restrictions of Apple, you can skip them using the program weMessage.

The iOS operating system is often referred to as “fenced garden,” a closed ecosystem that Apple has absolute control of. Thus, it is practically impossible for other platforms and the user to bypass these imposed restrictions.

iMessage to Android Mobile

An example of this is the function of iMessage, a messaging service that only allows sending and receiving messages between iOS devices.

This way, exclude your friends or relatives who do not have an iPhone or iPad. However, there is a very simple trick to send an iMessage from or to an Android smartphone or tablet. We tell you how to do it next, although the weMessage app that we are going to use will require you to have a Mac on hand.

What do you need to send an iMessage to Android device?

The method that we explain in this article requires the participation of the Android user to whom you want to send an iMessage message. Although it is not complicated, surely only someone who really wants to receive your iMessage will accept it.

Logically, you will need an Android device, but also a Mac computer with Yosemite macOS or later installed. It is key to have a Mac, it will be the one that receives your iMessage and sends it to the Android phone.

How to configure weMessage to be able to use iMessage with Android

Although it is true that you will need a friend who wants to collaborate to configure weMessage on your Android, the fact is that the configuration process takes place mainly on the Mac.

Step 1. Install Java

First of all, you’ll have to make sure you have Java installed on your Mac. You can check if this is the case when weMessage makes you open Terminal. You will only be able to see the code in the Terminal window if you have Java installed.

If this is not the case, we advise you to download the JDK file from the Oracle website and follow the installation instructions. Just make sure you install the version for macOS and download the JDK file, not the JRE.

Step 2. Change the privacy settings of your Mac

Next, you must update the privacy settings of the Terminal tool on your Mac. To do this, you must open the ‘System Preferences’ panel and select ‘Security and privacy’, followed by ‘Privacy’.

In the menu on the left, select the option ‘Accessibility’. To make changes, you must give the padlock and enter your password. Then, click on ‘+’, select ‘Terminal’ in the ‘Utilities’ folder and click on ‘Open’.

Step 3. Configure your weMessage server

Once you have downloaded weMessage for macOS on your Mac or MacBook, you must double-click on the ‘run. command’ document in the downloaded folder. It is an external developer app, so you must give your computer permission.

You will also have to enter an email -the one you used to configure iMessage on your Mac- and a password -which can be the same or any other, although you should be able to remember it easily-.

Step 4. Configure weMessage on the Android device

At the same time, you must install weMessage on the Android device in question. Open the app and enter the IP address of the Mac where you have installed weServer. You will find it by going to ‘System Preferences’, followed by ‘Network’.

You will also have to enter the same email and password from the previous step. Once this is done, you should be able to see a tick in the app. If you go back to Terminal on your Mac you will see that everything is connected.

Although this will allow you to receive iMessages on the Android device that have been previously sent to the Mac. Of course, you can only do it when the Mac and Android are connected to the same Internet connection.
