This year there are at least three smartphones that really deserve close attention because of their unusualness. The first is the new but rather controversial iPhone 11 Pro Max. The second is Samsung Fold. Well, the third is Google Pixel 4.
For about six months, people massively discussed various rumors regarding the above smartphone, and all the hype that arose around it, as we can understand, was not in vain. The fact is that finally, Google officially announced the Pixel 4 and 4XL at its own event in New York.
Pixel 4 colors
So, speaking of such a hotly anticipated new product, it is worth mentioning the most insignificant – the colors. The new Pixel 4 lineup is presented by devices in three different colors at once: black, white, as well as orange, which will be very limited.
Google Pixel 4 Release Date
The first Google Pixel was introduced back in October 2016, and Google stuck to this Pixel 2 and Pixel 3 launch schedule that followed. Therefore, we can no doubt say that the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL should also become official in the first week of October.
I don’t think Google would like to coincide with the release of the iPhone 11 in September. Well then, the usual October launch date for Pixel 4 was confirmed by Tipster Evan Blass on Twitter. He shared a screenshot of Verizon’s marketing calendar, showing the company’s marketing efforts for a variety of future flagship phones.
Google Pixel 4 Price
In terms of price, the new items are relatively good. The company asks for $799 for an ordinary Pixel 4, and 899 for a version of the Pixel 4XL.
Google Pixel 4 Specs
The characteristics of the new flagship are extremely good, but quite expected and predictable. But first of all, it is worth touching on the theme of the display, which, by the way, has a size of 5.7 and 6.3 inches on regular and XL versions, respectively.
If you decide to take the XL model, then the resolution of this display itself will be Quad HD. Well, if you don’t have money, or you don’t see the point, then the ordinary Pixel 4 will just as well offer you at least a high-quality image with a resolution of 1080p, which will be more than enough for everyone.
Be that as it may, all this is nothing compared to what will be said later. The feature of the screens installed in the Google Pixel 4 and 4XL is that they support a refresh rate of 90 Hz. Yes, of course we have already seen more than one smartphone that could boast of it.
If we talk about the filling of the new Pixel, then here are absolutely identical in everything. They are equipped with the flagship processor from Qualcomm, namely the Snapdragon 855, have 6 gigabytes of RAM, as well as 64 or 128 gigabytes of permanent memory.
Anyway, if you look at the top of the smartphone, you will immediately find that Google engineers have built two new sensors into it at once.
The first is a response to Apple’s technology – Face ID. Well, the second one can rightly be called really something innovative. It opens up a whole new way to interact with the device, and is called Motion Sense.

In general, one could talk about the square module of the main camera, which clearly imitates the new iPhone, however, to everyone’s surprise, it is quite boring.
Yes, the camera has improved markedly, no one will argue with this, especially considering that all previous Pixels also shot flawlessly.
So more detailed about a full review of the camera should be expected a little later. Be that as it may, the new Pixel turned out to be really interesting and unusual smartphones, which will take huge success with the audience.

News, Leaks and Rumors
Google Pixel 4 has been in the news for quite some time. The initial discovery of the Pixel 4 can be traced back to April, when the code names for both options surfaced in the AOSP (Android Open Source Project) commit.
The Pixel 4 certainly has the code name Coral, while the code name Pixel 4 XL is Flame. I hope you know that Google encodes its smartphones in honor of aquatic creatures, and the tradition continues.
The code names were followed by Pixel 4 renders with two rear cameras and a perforated dual-camera display – similar to the Galaxy S10 Plus.
Fingerprint or Face Unlock
I bet you would have noticed, but there’s no fingerprint sensor on the back of the Pixel 4 renderer.
This suggests that Google may finally be ready to switch from a physical fingerprint sensor to the fingerprint sensor under the display.
We did not receive specific leaks for the same thing, but the use of an optical fingerprint sensor can be displayed on cards, unlike the ultrasonic fingerprint sensor that is in the Samsung Galaxy S10.
The lack of a physical fingerprint sensor, however, could also mean that Google hopes to follow in the footsteps of Apple and is confident enough in its FaceID technology to completely eliminate the fingerprint sensor from Pixel 4.
This is a huge opportunity, as it is rumored that the company has long been working on a “more secure face authentication feature”.
Speaking of the display, a recent leak suggests that the Pixel 4 will have a screen size of 5.6 to 5.8 inches.
Which is slightly larger than the 5.5-inch screen you’ll find in the Pixel 3. However, its older brother, the Pixel 4 XL, is expected to have a screen size of 6.2 to 6.4 inches, which is exactly the same as the Pixel 3 Xl.
Google Pixel 4 Battery and Charging
Rejoice at Pixel fans! The Google Pixel 4 line should use a larger battery, which can offer you a better screen and the ability to click more photos in one charge.
The 2915 mAh and 3430 mAh batteries in the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3XL are not really large or huge, so you can comfortably serve you all day.
Consequently, we expect the thicker layout of the Pixel 4 line to translate into larger batteries. The 3,500 mAh battery inside the Pixel 4 and the 4,200 mAh battery in the Pixel 4 XL will do just fine.
Google Pixel 4 vs Google Pixel 3
One of the most significant and easily noticeable differences in the Pixel 4 and its predecessor is the rear cameras, the Pixel line has always relied on a single rear camera, for three years now, and for the first time we will see the multi-camera setup with Google Pixel 4.
And it really excited me, because we do not have information about the camera features it will bring in tow.
The Pixel 4 is also supposed to go beyond its two-tone back trim and provide a single glass design that I fully support.
Yes, the lineup will lose its trademark and will look like any other glass smartphone. However, I expect Google to keep it neat, minimal, and stylish.
So that’s almost all that is known about the Google Pixel 4. Although much is not yet known about the device, leaks indicate that it will become a rather capable and worthy flagship. But only time will tell. We will update this article as new leaks and rumors appear, closer to the launch date.
